PIAZZA ARMERINA JAZZ FESTIVAL


Jazz lovers wont want to miss the 4-day Piazza Jazz event in the unique setting of Piazza Armerina, Enna, Sicily between the 28-31 July. The 2011 programme features Italian pianist and jazzman Stefano Bollani and singer-composer Gino Paoli, as well as 100 young musicians who participate in the workshops held by leading international jazz artistes Francesco Cafiso, Adam Nussbaum, Rosario Bonaccorso, Riccardo Fioravanti and Stefano Bagnoli.

Throughout the Festival, music fills the streets and squares of Piazza Armerina day and night, with seminars and sessions, evening concerts under the stars  and jam sessions at the Jazz Club Amici till the small hours.

The town of Piazza Armerina is famous for its Imperial Roman Villa with splendidly preserved mosaic pavements, considered to be one of the most important archaeological complexes in Italy and listed as  a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
