NORCIA TRUFFLE FESTIVAL

Umbrias most prestigious gastronomic product abounds this weekend (1-3 March 2013) at Norcia during the Nero Norcia Festival dedicated to the precious black diamond. Norcia, the beautifully preserved city of St. Benedict, is the heart of the Valnerina Valley and boasts centuries old traditions of food specialities, such as cured meats, prosciuttos, pork products, sausages and many local cheeses  as well as the exclusive black truffle, one of the worlds most expensive gourmet item. This is the Festivals 50 edition and every year it attracts huge numbers of food professionals and tourists.
