VERDI CELEBRATES WITH LEGO
An unusual tribute to Giuseppe Verdi on his Bicentenary has been set up in the Museo WOW Spazio Fumetti (WOW Cartoon Museum) of Milan, with a faithful reconstruction of La Scala theatre in lego blocks.
30,000 coloured little plastic blocks have been used to reproduce the facade and interior of the famous theatre.
Maestro Verdi is also represented walking in front of the theatre, complete with top hat and beard and reading a newspaper a copy of a photo taken during his last years.
Exhibion: Sempre Verdi: Il Mito di Giuseppe Verdi (Verdi Forever: the Myth of Giuseppe Verdi) can be visited up till the 5th January 2014.
