Six journalists representing six different nations and three continents were awarded the 2018 Terre de l'Infinito prize, promoted by the administrations of the Umbria regions of Amerino, Narni and Orvietano and with the sponsorship of the Italyheart olive oil company.
The ceremony, held in the frescoed Zodiac Hall of the '600 Palazzo Petrignani in Amelia, was the consequence of an Educational Tour of the area organized in April 2017 for members of the Gruppo del Gusto (Gourmet Group) of the Foreign Press Association in Italy, with view to promoting the sights, traditions, products and historic monuments of this lesser known part of Italy.
The photo shows winners posing with two costumed participants in the medieval Palio dei Colombi (Tournament of the Doves), held each summer in Amelia.
