Capri, the isle renowned for its beauty, presented the first edition of Abitare la Bellezza (Live within Beauty), a festival of contemporary dance organized by the new Fondazione Capri, with a homage to the famous American choreographer Carolyn Carlson where several of her most celebrated works were performed in the magnificent setting of the Certosa of San Giacomo. The programme continued on the 18 th July with Un Air di Folies, presented by dancers and musicians of the Galantes company flanked by pupils of the local dance academy and with the choreography of Beatrice Massin. The Festival, which also comprises a series of debates on the theme of contemporary dance, ends on the 30 th July. It is directed by Gigi Cristoforetti, who also directed the International Festival of Contemporary Circus in Brescia from 2000 to 2008, which specialized in presenting a lively melange of dance and circus.
