Romes city council has introduced, on an experimental basis, a team of 16 young people who are to ride round the city centre to assist tourists. The yellow-jacketed boys and girls will ride on picturesque two-wheeled electric chariots  (Segways) that cruise along at a speed of 6 kms per hour and do not pollute the environment.  The Angels speak a variety of languages, including Japanese and Chinese, in addition to the commoner European languages and will have maps to distribute to visitors, as well as mobile phones for emergency calls.
