Pasta di Gragnano IGP - La Fabbrica della Pasta di Gragnano 

The Consortium of Pastai (pasta manufacturers) of Gragnano (Campania region), carried off one of the four prestigious nominations for food excellence awarded in this years edition of the Foreign Press Association of Romes gourmet group (Gruppo del Gusto).

Gragnano, known as the City of Pasta, has specialized in pasta making for over 500 years and the historic Corso Sancio (now re-named Via Roma) is lined with numerous individual pasta manufacturers who continue to make their pasta in the traditional manner, hanging the wide strips out to dry naturally in the sun before cutting it into its various forms.

90% of Gragnano pasta is exported, with the USA the main market.
