Romes prestigious wine bar, the Enoteca Ferrara, has been hosting a special showcase of the top wines produced by the Azienda Marchese Antinori and the Azienda Falesco. For the past two weeks, the public have been able to sample a glass or two of the companys wines, including the rare and costly Solaia, nominated the worlds best wine of the year 1997, in a jovial and party atmosphere with the possibility to win prizes.
Each two glasses of wine entitled participants to a raffle ticket, with prizes that ranged from a two-day stay for two people at the luxurious Antinori property, the Tenuta di Guado al Tasso, a weekend for two at the Agriturismo Pomele Falesco wine farm in Umbria, lunch and a tour of the cellars at the Antinori Tenuta Castello della Sala, as well as magnum bottles of Tignanello and Champagne Perrier Jouet.
