This years Sol d'Oro contest during the Verona olive oil fair brought accolades to Lazio region. While the top Delicate Fruit Olive Oil  Category prize was carried by the Apulia producer Luigi Guadalupi from Brindisi, the Silver Sol d'Argento and the Bronze Sol di Bronzo went to the Piscoianni and Alfredo Cetrone estates respectively, both from Sonnino near Latina, Lazio.

The Sol D'Oro for the best Average Fruit Olive Oil was also a Lazio winner, with top prize going to the Laura De Perri estate from Canino, near Viterbo, Lazio.
