The website Lastminute.com has nominated the Aldrovandi Palace, Rome, as the world's most romantic hotel. A charming fin de sicle building in Rome's most exclusive residential area, the Aldrovandi is surrounded by its own private garden filled with exotic flowers, bordering on the Villa Borghese Park.

A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, the Aldovandi has 108 rooms, including 15 suites and the exclusive penthouse Royal suite, overlooking the gardens.

Gourmet meals are provided by Michelin-star chef Oliver Glowig, previously from Capri.
