The Centro Storico Fiat (Historic Fiat Museum) of Turin is making the proud claim that it has scored more I like facebook hits in the last six months than the Uffizi Galleries and the Vatican Museums put together. Inaugurated in 1963, the museum can now say it is the most popular museum on Facebook, with 100,000 fans and 35,000 talking about it.
Only a quarter of the fans are in Italy. The rest sign in from all over the world, proving that Fiat is a name that attracts internationally. The museums does not only contain cars, but a vast range of motors and appliances with the FIAT brand, including planes, tractors, lorries, bicycles, washing machines and fridges. It also contains an exhaustive archive of documents, blueprints, plans and projects which can be consulted free of charge every Sunday between 10am-7pm.
