RAVELLO FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

 

The Ravello Festival renews its commitment to offer the best with its 2014 programme featuring top symphony orchestras and legendary jazz performers. Perched on a terrace high above the Amalfi coast, the Festival offers a unique scenic and musical experience under the stars from the 21st June to the 13th September 2014.

The Festival kicks off with an exclusive homage to the much-loved Italian playwright Eduardo De Filippo on the thirtieth anniversary of his death with a spectacle of songs and music linked to his commedies, followed by a programme of performances by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Harding, the Italian Youth Orchestra with trumpeter Marco Pierobon, the Teatro Regio Orchestra of Turin, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, the Orchestre National de France, conducted by Daniele Gatti and the Orchestra of the Teatro di San Carlo, Naples.

Jazz lovers can look forward to hearing Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke, Branford Marsalis and Jean-Luc Ponty.
