The International Festival of art and food is on till the 27th June 2015 in the historic centre of the town of Montegranaro, near Fermi (Marche), famous for its production of high quality shoes. This is a mega-event, involving over a hundred different street performances featuring professional artistes from Italy, Belgium, France, Finland, Holland, Slovenia, Spain, Cile, Argentine, Uruguay, Kenya, the UK and the USA, many of whom are part of the EU OPEN-STREET project.
The Veregra Street Food section is a show place for quality food on wheels, with vans and mobile shops from all over Italy selling traditional street food like olive ascolane, fish and chips, empanadas, crepes, trippa alla romana, arrosticini, arancini, icecream etc. with drinks and specialist beers.
The evenings between the 22nd -24th June are reserved for artistes from the Marche region in order to promote local talent. Fun for all guaranteed!
The name of the festival comes from the ancient name of Montegranaro
