Quartiere delle ceramiche - Puglia

The unique Quartiere delle Ceramiche (Ceramics Quarter) in Grottaglie (Puglia) where many artists still work in the traditional red clay caves, or grottos, that gave the town its name, will be host to an international exhibition of ceramic sculpture between the 23 June – 30 September 2018. The Ceramic Exhibition 2018 features 46 works from Germany, the UK, Israel, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Serbia and various parts of Italy. This year's version is entitled: EARTH identity, place, material, symbolizing the primordial element uniting the world and man. The works will be judged by a jury from the international association ICMEA, which represents the directors of magazine specializing in the ceramic art. The exhibition is in the Ancient Monastery of the Capuchins of Grottaglie. Open every day between 10-13 and 17-20.
