HADRIAN'S VILLA INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL

 

After a two-year break, the International Festival of Arts in the ruins of the Roman Emperor Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli, Rome, has made a welcome comeback. The month-long programme, which began on the 18th June 2014, stars world famous dance and theatre companies who perform against the majestic backdrop of the Roman ruins under the stars.

LANGHE SCORES ITALY'S 50th UNESCO SITE

 

 

The hilly Langhe-Roero and Monferrato regions of Piemonte have been added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, giving Italy the grand total of fifty nominations ´¿½ more than any other country. The region covers some 100 sq kms with twenty-nine historic towns and villages in six areas of the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo.
