ROME HOTEL NOW SPEAKS MANDARIN

One of Rome's most distinguished hotels, the 120-year old Eden, in the heart of the Dolce Vita Via Veneto quarter, is to employ staff who speak Mandarin Chinese from the end of February 2012 to satisfy the needs of a constantly increasing clientele from China, Singapore and Malaysia.

ROME TOURISM SUCCESS


Rome enjoyed a record increase in visitor numbers in 2011 when the city welcomed 1 million more tourists than in 2010, with total arrivals recorded as 11,405,160, a percentage increase of 18.36% over the previous year.

WWF CELEBRATES ITALIAN PARKS



Active in Italy since 1966, WWF Italia has just celebrated the 20 th anniversary of the passing of Law 394 sanctifying conservation and the institution of protected areas in Italian territory. Italy now has 23 National Parks and 871 protected areas for a total of 3,163,000 hectares of land and 2,800,000 hectares of sea areas, covering a total 10.42% of national territory.

PERUGIA WINE AND TOURISM 2012



The fourth International Conference on Wine Tourism, scheduled to take place for the first time in Italy between the 30 January- 2 February 2010, will host specialized tour operators, wine journalists, producers and eno-tourism experts from 40 different countries.
