ROME's BABY ZEBRA

The Rome Biopark, as the old zoo is now called, is celebrating a new arrival. A baby giraffe  was born on the 9 July. He weighed 30 kilos at birth and was in perfect health.  The proud parents, Wendy and  Chuky, both live in Rome zoo, having been trasferred from Holland a few years ago.

The Biopark is organizing a competition among Rome children to chose a name for the newcomer.

ROME:ST.PETER'S prison found

Recent excavations under the Church of St. Joseph of the Carpenters at the foot of the Capitol hill in Rome appear to confirm the ancient tradition that this was the prison where St. Peter was held before his trial and execution in 67 AD.
