The Vatican Museum launched an experimental evening opening on 24 th July 2009. Museum Director, Antonio Paolucci, said that the decision to open the museum doors to the public outside normal opening hours had been made “in order to allow Roman families to enjoy the museum treasures and the Sistine Chapel normally overcrowded with foreign tourists.”

CAPRI DANCES TO BEAUTY

Capri, the isle renowned for its beauty, presented the first edition of “Abitare la Bellezza” (“Live within Beauty”), a festival of contemporary dance organized by the new Fondazione Capri, with a homage to the famous American choreographer Carolyn Carlson where several of her most celebrated works were performed in the magnificent setting of the Certosa of San Giacomo.
