The worlds most exclusive chefs are to hold their annual reunion in Rome between the 20 th of 21 st July. The 21 master cooks belonging to the Club des Chefs des Chefs are the personal chefs of the worlds leaders. They include Cristeta Comerford, who creates the meals at the White House, Ulrich Kerz , who cooks for German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Markus Burkart and Christian Garcia, chefs of the Swedish royal family and Alberto II of Monaco respectively.
Fabrizio Boca, the President of Italys chef, will have the difficult task of entertaining what must be one of the worlds most exacting groups of diners at the roof garden of the Hotel Majestic, where they will also partake in a tasting session of the best in Italys olive oil, produced by Armando Manni, who supplies 35 of the worlds most famous restaurants.
Meanwhile, the G8 First Ladies had the chance to sample the very best of Italian cuisine while their husbands were discussing the fate of the planet at the recent G8 conference in L'Aquila, Abruzzo. During the tour organized for them in Rome, they sampled the arts of Heinz Beck, master chef of the renowned La Pergola restaurant, served on the panoramic Caffarelli Terrace on Romes Capitol hill.
