CANTINA SANTANDREA JUDGED BEST IN LAZIO

Vintner SantAndrea in the coastal plain area south of Rome has been judged best wine producer in Lazio at the recent Vinitaly Fair at Verona. The vineyard, situated half way between Sabaudia and Terracina at Borgo Vodice, some 80 kms from Rome, also reaped five special mentions for its wines, produced after a long and painstaking work undertaken by three generation of the Pandolfo family, who have succeeded in recovering and resuscitating neglected old vines on the rocky slopes above the Mediterranean sea.

Other Lazio vineyards that have recently won awards at a regional level include Casale del Giglio di Le Ferriere, situated between the towns of Latina and Nettuno.
