The celebrated fashion house, Maison Fendi, has offered to finance a much needed face lift for one of Romes most famous landmarks - the Trevi fountain. Silvia Venturini Fendi announced during Rome Fashion Week that the Maison pledged to donate 2.5 million to finance the restoration of  number of Romes fountains.  The project includes, in addition to the Trevi, the Four Fountains on the Quirinale Hill.

The restoration of the Trevi Fountain, where Anita Ekberg took a dip in Fellinis Dolce Vita, will include a new water recycling plant, led lighting and security cameras to deter vandalism.Work is estimated to be finished in 2015.
