Together with the Venaria Reale of Turin (see below) the Vatican Museum is to hold a series of evening concerts inside some of its most celebrated rooms every Friday between 3 May-28 July 2013. The initiative, called Il Bello da Sentire (Beauty for the Ears), offers a rare feast for the senses for art and music lovers. The concerts will be held in rotation in the following venues: the Pinacoteca Terrace, the Courtyard of the Pigna, the Museo Gregoriano Profano and the Raphael Rooms at 8.30pm.
Tickets include night time entrance fee to the Vatican Museums which gives access to the Gregoriano Egyptian Museum, the Pio Clementino Museum, the Upper Galleries (Candelabras, Tapestries and Maps), the Raphael Rooms, the Borgia Appartments, the Collection of Modern Religious Art and the Sistine Chapel, as well as a special opening for the occasion of the Pius V Rooms with medieval and renaissance ceramics and micro-mosaics.
