VINITALY AWARDS FOR LAZIO WINES

 

The wines of Lazio region, virtually ignored by wine connoisseurs only twenty years ago, are making an increasing impact on the Made in Italy market. 28 Lazio wines scooped awards at the 48th edition of the international Vinitaly 2014 Wine Fair at Verona.

A Gran Menzione (special nomination) went to 17 wines from the Latina area, 8 from Rome region, 2 from Frosinone and 1 from Viterbo. The awards went to the following wine cellars: Villa Gianna, Casale del Giglio, Sant'Andrea, Azienda Paolo e Noemia D'Amico, Terre dei Pallavicini, Castel de Paolis, Agricola Cavalieri, Cantina Lupo, Casa Divina Provvidenza, Tenuta Petra Potens, Agricola Giovanni Terenzi, Agricola Forestale La Torre and Alma Vini.  Lovers of good wine, look out for these labels!
