One of Italy's more unusual collections, the Fisogni Museum of Petrol Stations, is due to reopen on the 26th April 2015. The Museum, founded by businessman Guido Fisogni in 1966, has moved from its former site in Milan to more spacious premises in Tradate, near Varese (Lombardia) with 400 sqm covered exhibition space, plus an inner courtyard and a surrounding garden.

The collection is the most complete of its kind in the world, with over 5000 exhibits relating to service stations and was registered in the 2001 edition of the Guinness Book of Records. Its vintage petrol pumps, gas cannisters, compressors, garage equipment and gadgets, dating from 1892 to 1990, are much in demand for the sets of period films and in documentaries.

The Museum will be open throughout the entire period of EXPO MILAN and will close for the winter on the 31st October 2015.
