FLIC, the prestigious school for circus performers based in Turin (Piemonte) is to hold three appointments for the public in the Concordia Theatre in the Venaria Reale (Royal Hunting Lodge – a sumptuous palace once belonging to the Savoy monarchs).
Cit, an international review of circus artistes, is staged inside the theatre with the intention of creating a different atmosphere from the noisy confusion of the Big Top, so that performers can concentrate on presenting exhibitions of acrobatics, dance and music without the typical distractions of the circus venue.
The FLIC School was founded in 2002, as a branch of the historic Turin Royal Society of Gymnastics, dating from 1844.
The Cit 2016 spectacles will be held on the 23rd January, featuring the French company My!Laika with Popcorn Machine (a domestic apocalypse).
On the 12th March: Six Pieds sur Terre with the French company Lapsus and on the 2nd April the Spanish Catalan company Eia will put on Intarsi, their second show after the award-wionning CAPAS.
