The American pop artist Keith Haring was a lover of Italy and left many works in various Italian towns and cities. On the 30th anniversary of his death he is being honoured in several places where he left his distinctive mark. Haring works feature as part of the Parma City of Culture 2020 event and are part of a major exhibition of contemporary art at Palazzo Magnani e Chiostro di San Pietro (Reggio Emilia until the 8th March). Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni is the Florentine venue for the Casamonti collection: From the '60s to the Beginning of the 21st Century, displaying works by Haring, while in Rome the Afnakafna Gallery offers '30Keith (up till the 14th March) with 30 new works in a group exhibition celebrating the inventor of a unique new artistic style. One of his most famous creations is in Pisa, on a church wall opposite the railway station. The huge 180 sq m mural entitled Tuttomondo (All the World) has thirty figurines and is dedicated to peace. This was the last public work created by Haring before his death and is treasured by the town council who have restored it several times.
