The first Contest of Viral Marketing MSC Friends launched by luxury Italian cruise company MSC has been by won young Umbrian designer Andrea Sgaravizzi. His lively promotional 20-second video clip,which was presented to tour operators and the press on board the MSC Splendida at the port of Civitavecchia, features the protagonist, transformed into an avator, enjoying the cruise experience.
The design studios Roberto Antonacci and Loredana Dellisanti were runners up.
MSC Marketing Manager Fabio de Petris explained that the idea behind the Contest of Viral Marketing MSC Friends, launched and backed by the BootB Unlimited Creativity agency, was to create a social network system of friends - contented passengers who would act ambassadors and promote MSC through the net among their circles of acquaintances.
The MSC cruise company is one of the fastest growing and most successful cruise lines in the world, with a fleet of 11 ships and a capacity of 1.2 million passengers.
