VITERBO CAFFEINA FESTIVAL @ 08 Jun 2013

The somewhat oddly-named Caffeina Festival, now in its VII edition, lights up Viterbo's medieval San Pellegrino district between the 27 June-7 July 2013. The Festival attracts some 400,000 visitors each year, thanks to its rich calendar of 30 daily events that include readings by authors, open air debates, music and cinema.

One of the highlights will be the appearance of the 5 finalists of this year's Premio Strega (Italy's most prestigious literary award) at a joint press conference two days prior to the announcement of the winner. In addition to the literary programme, the Caffeina Festival will collaborate this year with the JazzUp Festival, which will be dedicated to new young talents.

100 children's events are programmed, featuring theatrical companies from all over Italy, along with craft laboratories, readings and presentations of children's books with the authors present.

The Slow food movement will also be present, with a market of the finest local produce.
