The wines of Puglia take over the historic Ceramic Workshops of Grottaglie (Taranto) at the end of this month, with the annual Vino è˝ Musica (Wine is Music) appointment where visitors can sample a selection of 150 labels from 40 cellars between the 30th -31st July 2015.
The event has become a must for wine lovers and wine tourists, who can meet the vintners and voice their opinions on the products of their wineries. Guided tasting tours are also available, organized by the Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Vino ONAV (National Wine Tasters Organization) and the Italian Association of Sommeliers AIS, who will illustrate tasting techniques.
The Taste Laboratories of Vino è Musica are open from 9 pm onwards inside the fascinating venues of Casa Museo Vestita, with its ancient frescoed crypt, the Nardina Terrace, the Ceramiche Keramos workshop, the courtyard of the Ceramiche Pinca and the terrace of the Eligio Bonfrate workshop.
The musical part of the programme is led by international entertainer and DJ Daniele De Michele (known as Donpasta), celebrated for his battle against food fads encouraged by TV programmes like Masterchef. A firm supporter of traditional regional cuisine, his lively shows combine music and dialogue with food preparation.
