On the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, the popular Reggio Emilio seaside resort of Rimini offers free painting laboratories for children every Friday throughout May 2019, as well as an "Avventure nell'Orto" (Adventures in the Garden) event every Sunday in the precincts of "Italy in Miniature".

"Italy in Miniature" is one of Italy's major attractions for families, with 273 scale models of Italian and European monuments and architectural treasures, including a reproduction of Matera, the amazing cave city and European Capital of Culture 2019. 18 electric trains are available to take visitors around the vast site.

A combined ticket is available, covering "Italy in Miniature", the Oltremare Theme Park in Riccione and the Aquarium of Rimini.
