POMPEI REVIVES WITH MUSIC AND WINE

POMPEII REVIVES WITH MUSIC AND WINE

The third edition of the BOP (Beats of Pompeii) concert series in the heart of the archaeological ruins of Pompeii sparks off on the 24th June 2026. Despite the skepticism of purists, the music festival has been a big success, attracting crowds in the evenings when the normal tourist circuits in the buried Roman city are closed.

This edition programme features a wide range of choices to suit all tastes, including performances by top pop singers, rock bands, world famous jazz musicians and classical orchestras, with a special tribute to Ennio Morricone, celebrated worldwide for his cinema musical scores.

To make the events even more of an occasion, the concerts include entry into the Great Palaestra with the new exhibition of the celebrated plaster casts of the victims caught in the volcanic eruptions. In addition, it will be possible to attend tastings of the wines created from ancient vine stock replanted in the gardens and vineyards of the lost city in the nearby House of the Triclinium.

The concert series runs until the 27th July 2026.
