On the 23 May 2010, the botanical garden of the splendid historic villa of the Sanvitale family at Fontanellato, near Parma (Reggio Emilia) will hold a big family picnic party, open to all. Mats, tablecloths and picnic baskets with typical local products are supplied by the organizers at moderate prices.

The picnic tradition will continue every weekend till September, with various types of picnic baskets available. Visitors can choose among different combinations, such as picnic + bicycle hire, picnic + guided tour of the piano nobile of the Sanvitale Castle, frescoed by Parmigiano, organic picnic, romantic picnic, complete with champagne and strawberries and others.
