The Marisa Cuomo Gran Furor Wine Cellar from the town of Furore on the Amalfi Coast scooped up a prestigious special diploma at this year's edition of the Enologico Internazionale Selezione del Sindaco 2012, held at Lamezia Terme (Calabria) on the 25-27 May.

1200 wines were tasted by 10 panels of international wine experts specialized in 13 different types of wine.

The award winning ceremony took place on the 9 July 2012 in the Rome Campidoglio city hall, in the presence of Rome's mayor, Gianni Alemanno, and the Italian Minister for Agricultural Affairs, Mario Catania.
