Historic churches, castles and theatres of Lake Trasimeno host international chamber orchestras, solist musicians and singers during the eleventh Trasimeno Music Festival between the 4th - 10th July 2015, under the direction of Canadian concert pianist Angela Hewitt.
The Castle of the Knights of Malta at Magione, the Basilica of San Pietro at Perugia, the Clitunno Theatre and the Church of San Francesco at Trevi, the Teatro Torti at Bevagna and the Teatro Caporali at Panicale form the unique venues for this increasingly popular event.
The Anteprima Concerť on the 3rd July at San Savino di Magione highlights the talents of young pianists from Switzerland and Italy, while the special event on the 7th July at Trevi features actor Walter van Dyk as narrator for L'Histoire de Babar le petit phant by Poulenc and Stravinsky's L'Hisoire du soldat.
In addition, on the 10th July in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Agriculture at Perugia University English writer William Fiennes will speak of his love of music and how this has influenced his work. The interview, conducted by Canadian journalist Eric Friesen, will be in English.
