The annual CastigliondiPrimavera (Spring Festival) at Castiglione della Pescaia (Grosseto, Tuscany) - 7th-10^th May 2015 - could not but choose as its central theme: EXPO 2015 Feed the Planet. Between the 2^nd - 4^th May 2015, Tuscany gives Milan a taste of its big food event, IN Piazza a Firenze programmed a couple of weeks later on the 22^nd -24^th May in Florence itself. The event centres round one of Tuscany's big attractions of local foods, with a fair of gastronomic products typical of the region running for the entire three days in the Chiostri Umanitaria venue near the Duomo.

One of Italy's more unusual collections, the Fisogni Museum of Petrol Stations, is due to reopen on the 26^th April 2015. The Museum, founded by businessman Guido Fisogni in 1966, has moved from its former site in Milan to more spacious premises in Tradate, near Varese (Lombardia) with 400 sqm covered exhibition space, plus an inner courtyard and a surrounding garden.

Five hundred and fifty years ago, in 1465, Italy's first printing press was set up at the Benedictine monastery of San Benedetto at Subiaco (Lazio). The event will be celebrated throughout the year at the sister religious house of Santa Scolastica where the library contains a fascinating collection of ancient books, illuminated manuscripts and parchments.
